We believe
that our best advertising venue is from our customers. Therefore, we are proud to share a
sample of letters received by our facility commending the care and treatment of
our residents by our health care team.

There are no words to describe the care
given to my husband, Carmelo Principato on the rehabilitation unit. All your staff work as a team which is
so important to patient care and recovery. They are friendly, kind and compassionate, God Bless them
all, all shifts included.
Sincerely,
Carmelo

My
mother, Charlotte Knutsen, was a resident of Clove Lakes from June 2001 to
February 2008. I don’t think she
would have lasted that long or had been that happy had it not been for your wonderful
staff. I can think of no other
place that I would trust to take care of a loved one as much as Clove Lakes.
I
can’t begin to tell you how impressed I was with your Social Services
Department, your Dietary Department and your Recreation Department. The level of concern they showed not
only for my mother’s physical well being but also for her mental well being,
which is so important with Dementia/Alzheimer’s patients was very comforting to
me. Our annual meetings always
left me feeling that my mother was in good hands.
The
staff on 6A are probably angels in disguise. I have never met a group of nurses and aides who have such
depth of compassion and love for the residents they care for. The day staff that I knew so well will
remain in my heart forever. They
all made my mother’s life secure, safe and loving. I knew when I was not there that all my mother’s needs would
be met and then some. They made
sure that I knew exactly what was going on at all times by phone or in person
that meant a lot to me and showed me that my mother was not just someone who
they were paid to take care of but someone who they really cared for.
On
the morning of my mother’s death, members of the staff came to see her and to
comfort me. All had stories to
share and a kind word for my mother, even though her eyes were closed I sensed
that she felt the love that was being generated in her room. I know I certainly did. The same happened that evening when she
passed and my brother and
sister-in-law were with her.
Staff came to comfort and help any way that they could and I know it
made the transition a little easier to bear.
Again,
I would like to thank you for all that you did for my mother and have done for
my family. Please extend my thanks
to the Demisay family. Not only do
they provide quality medical care but they go beyond that by making their
residents lives worth living in their last years.
Sincerely,
Lynn

On
behalf of the family of Thomas Casey, I wish to extend our sincere thanks to
you and the entire third floor staff for the care and treatment extended to Tom
during his time at Clove Lakes. We
know that he was well cared for by the Nurses, Doctors and Health Care
personnel on a daily basis.
I’m
sure you realized that our dear Tom was a very special husband, father and
brother who was deeply loved by our family. There is, indeed, a void in our lives since his passing but
we know that Tom is at peace.
A
Mass will be offered for you and your intentions and we pray that God will
continue to give you the strength and good health to continue to minister to
your patients.
Gratefully,
Sister
Margaret Casey

Just
a note to tell you how wonderful your staff and facility has been to my mom’s
recovery. The nurses, aides,
recreational staff, dietary personnel, physical therapy staff, physicians and
even maintenance people are all so kind and considerate. Thank you for providing such competent
staff, my mom Theresa Munizza is doing very nicely.
Sincerely,

Some
weeks ago, together with my husband and our son, we visited my brother, Vincent
Scalera. We were looking forward
to, but slightly apprehensive about seeing him, not knowing what his feelings
were about being away from home.
We
ere pleasantly surprised with the friendliness and compassion shown by your
hard-working caregivers. Even the
young lady at the front desk was so helpful.
I entered the building with tears welling up
in my eyes because I was so anxious to see Vincent. We were greeted with a “hello” and a smile from every
employee we encountered and also by the gracious patients we met along the
hallways.
The cleanliness and cheery rooms further
convinced us that he was in the best facility for his needs. We enjoyed our visit with my brother
who, incidentally is adored by his entire family. I’m sure they are able to rest easy knowing he is being
cared for by the best. Our
conversations were constantly interspersed with a great deal of praise from him
for every phase of his care. I,
too, immediately noticed how well he was being attended to, and my tears were
intermingled with joy.
Thank you for making our visit so much less
stressful than we anticipated.
Even though we were saddened to eventually part with him, we hope your
holidays were filled with much joy and good health. You all deserve it.
Sincerely,
Emily

In
December 2008, I was admitted to your facility from Richmond University Medical
Center. I had fallen and I had a
fractured pelvis. The duration of
my stay at Clove Lakes was one month.
I
would like to tell you about the care I received during my recuperation
period. Your health care nurses
were all capable and professional.
The aides were also exceptional in the care that they gave to me.
I
am certain that my healing time was faster than was expected because of the
wonderful and professional care I received at Clove Lakes. I want to thank you
for all the wonderful people that helped my recovery along. You all will be remembered in my
prayers. God bless all of you.
Sincerely,
Jennie

I
am writing this letter to commend the excellent care my mom, Anna Antoniato has
received while in short term rehab at Clove Lakes. This has been a very difficult and emotional time for me and
my family.
Upon
arrival we were greeted by very caring and sensitive staff, each of the nurses
and aides in the lobby wing have been terrific to me and my mom as well as the
aides who have gone beyond the call of duty in their kindness and
sensitivity. They keep on top of
everything and always make sure my mom receives the necessary care and medical
attention that she needs. The
activities are very well organized, motivational, they are critical to my mom’s
mental stimulation and positive attitude.
It is great, there is always something fun to do.
I would also like to acknowledge the
financial office, the staff has been extremely efficient and very capable in
guiding us through the very tedious application process for Medicaid. The kindness and knowledge is very much
appreciated. I would like to thank
Social Services, they have all been very encouraging in helping us get the home
care my mom will need when she is released from Clove Lakes. As you know applying for Community
Medicaid and home health care is very time consuming and tedious process. I cannot say enough about all the help
that Social Services has given us.
Sincerely,
Anna

We
recently took our loved one Frances Denicola home from your facility after a
very long stay. We only wish to
have remembered all the staff who were involved in her care by name, but it is
difficult. Please let all your
staff members know that we are grateful for the care they gave to Frances.
Your
receptionists are great attributes to you facility. They always greeted us with a warm smile and wishes for a
good day as well as a safe trip home.
Your coffee shop volunteers and gift shop personnel are very caring and
genuine people. They give their
time freely and selflessly to your residents and their families.
All
your transporters always made sure to get her to Sunday Mass on time she could
sit up front and hear the service.
Thank you all without you help she wouldn’t have been able to attend
Sunday services.
The
Dietary Department made sure she received meals that were not only satisfactory
to her dietary needs but that she enjoyed. (We had a hard time competing with you, she loved everything
you served).
Your
therapy department made sure she worked to her ability and then some. For that we are eternally
grateful. The recreation
department does a wonderful job at keeping the residents occupied.
It
is never easy to leave a loved ones care in the hands of other people. Your staff made that easier for
us. Your staff had patience with
us and took extra special measures to ensure that her needs were met and our
concerns put at ease. The C.N.A.’s
and nurses were all great. We must
say we are happy to have taken Frances home, we feel we are leaving a second
home and family behind. We hope
never to need your services again, but know from the bottom of our hearts if we
ever need to put our mother/grandmother in other peoples hands for care your
facility will be our first and only choice.
Sincerely,
The
family of Frances Denicola, especially
Camille
and Lynn
